Consumption of fibrous foods and fruits in large quantities will help to create a sleek body, the scientists said.
One American team found four people who add high-fiber foods such as nuts, fruits, yogurt and vegetables will reduce weight.
Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health was sure to consume these products do not make body fat.
Study of 120,000 people appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine. Respondents in this study were monitored for 20 years.
Not surprisingly the food associated with excess weight is the fries. One additional daily servings of French fries can add more weight than one pound for four years.
Similar results were seen in those who consume additional servings of potato chips, sugary drinks and meat. But the agency did not gain weight if you eat more food such as yogurt, vegetables, fruits and seeds, researchers say.
For example, the yogurt will make the extra weight down to 0.37 kilograms and 0.1 kilograms of vegetable consumption.
Dariush Mozaffarian of the Harvard School and lead author of the study said, the content of fiber in these foods may explain its effect.
"Their views on food that can reduce the weight eventually increase consumption, thereby reducing the amount of high calorie foods," he said. "High-fiber foods are more slowly digested and will also increase satiety."
